TWR Charities and ESPN Radio
On January 22nd, 2010 Train With Ron helped raise over $2100 for the Haiti relief fund. It all started as a bet with a listener and Tom Waddle of Waddle and Silvy on ESPN Radio Chicago AM 1000. ESPN Radio asked Train With Ron if we could provide a bench and two 90 lb dumbbells. How could we say no? Train With Ron matched the initial bet Waddle had with the listener and in conjunction with Mark Giangreco of ABC Channel 7 Chicago and Marc Silverman we all raised over $2100 for the Haiti relief fund.
Soldier Field Charity Hill Challenge
TWR held its first charity event in October of 2008. The event was so successful, we decided to make it a tradition and in 2009 we had 80 runners!
